NatWest is a retail and commercial bank formed in 1968 by the merger of National Province Bank, Westminster Bank and District Bank. The three founding companies are symbolised by the three chevrons in the NatWest logo. The bank is focusing on digital innovation, and has deployed a customer assistance tool called Cora, which uses Artificial Intelligence to help customers with their banking questions. In the past year, NatWest has opened a new-look branch in central Liverpool aimed at helping customers to bank digitally. The almost-paperless branch provides access to iPads and staff are on hand to help people sign up for and use online services. NatWest sponsors the Rugby Football Union, the Southbank Centre for creative arts in London, and is headline sponsor of the British LGBT Awards. Its current “Cricket has no boundaries” campaign is being used as a platform to promote diversity and inclusion. The campaign uses outdoor billboards featuring inspirational messages with images of inspirational figures. They include Ebony-Jewel Rainford-Brent, the first black cricketer to play for the England women’s cricket team. NatWest parent company RBS is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
