Coles is one of Australia’s largest retail chains, with over 2,300 supermarkets, liquor stores and convenience stores around the country. It offers e-commerce and has partnered with Uber for home deliveries. Coles groceries have also recently been made available through eBay, with shopping delivered within two to four days. The brand focuses on everyday low prices, and has been expanding its private label range. In 2018, the brand launched a hugely successful campaign, inviting children to collect miniature toy versions of in-store products, as well as accessories for their Coles Little Shop minis such as a Coles trolley. Widely hailed as a marketing success story, the follow up Christmas edition in December also proved a winner for the brand. The success of the campaign also led to criticism around plastic usage and environmental concerns, however. Coles has now been spun off from the Wesfarmers group and is listed as a separate company on the ASX.
