Coral is a betting and gaming business operating via Coral.co.uk as well as through Coral’s 1,700-plus branches around the UK. Parent company Ladbrokes Coral has broken ranks with much of the rest of the industry by pushing for an end to all UK sports betting broadcast advertising. It has stopped shirt sponsorship of UK football teams, and is also urging the industry and football governing bodies to ban betting advertising on pitch-side hoardings at football grounds. This is part of the group’s “Changing for the Bettor” campaign. Coral stores this year have begun offering a “Best Odds Guaranteed” pledge in its betting shops throughout the UK and Ireland, a service previously only available online. Coral, along with Ladbrokes, which is owned by the same parent company, became the first high-street bookmakers to make the popular online promotion available in their branches.
