Dyson is a British technology brand strongly associated with the reputation for innovation of its founder, James Dyson. It began with bag-free vacuum cleaners and has since expanded into fans, heating, hairdryers and has recently unveiled plans to launch electric cars. Dyson has this year announced the relocation of its headquarters to Singapore, to capitalise on the growing opportunities in the Asian market. Most Dyson products were already being manufactured in Asia, and the electric cars will be made there. Dyson said the relocation had nothing to do with Brexit, and that business considered itself the be global. It said no jobs would be lost at its Malmsesbury base in the UK. In May 2019, the first designs for Dyson electric cars were revealed, showing cars with large, narrow wheels to maximise range and efficiency. The cars, which are designed to be able to go off road, are expected to launch in 2021.
