GLOBAL 2016: Affluent spenders drive premium product trend

Rural India will see the benefits of the government’s major investments during 2016. The middle class living in the large cities will not feel the effects of these changes immediately, and may feel some strain. However, affluent people continue to thrive and consume, so the premium brands are not under as much pressure as the mass brands. That is why the premiumization trend continues.
