Hennessy Master Blender’s Selection No. 3 was revealed in late 2018 in a limited number of US locations, with international destinations scheduled to follow. It is the first single-batch cognac by eighth-generation Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde. A true craft cognac, Hennessy Master Blender’s Selection No. 3 is unique and innovative by virtue of its hand-selected blending process. It is composed exclusively of high-quality eaux-de-vie (colorless fruit brandies) that are at least seven years old. Its bottle design features a modern industrial interpretation of the brand’s traditional label. Hennessey continues its Hennessey Life platform, connecting to artists and experiences with initiatives such as an invitation-only event with American rapper ASAP Ferg at its maison and hosting panel discussions in New York for Black History Month. In February 2019 Hennessy invited Guangyu Zhang to create an artwork to celebrate Chinese New Year. Hennessy XO has also commissioned Ridley Scott to create The Seven Worlds film—a visual journey that explores each of the seven Hennessy XO tasting notes in a surreal and sensorial narrative, taking the viewer on the odyssey that is the Hennessy XO tasting experience.
