Indovision is a subscription-based satellite television provider that has a long-standing reputation in the market for using pioneering technology and delivering quality local and international programming. This is a fiercely competitive market that has seen new entrants in the past couple of years, and several pay TV players have been engaged in a price war. Indovision, which is a premium brand aimed at the middle classes, has not gone down this route, but instead has launched a Super Bundle promotion linking super-fast internet and a pay TV subscription in specially priced deal. While the brand has struggled to win new subscribers in this market, average revenue per user has remained steady.
The Indovision brand is part of MNC Sky Vision – the country’s biggest pay TV provider – which in turn is part of MNC Group, the largest integrated media group in Indonesia, with TV, newspaper, magazine and radio interests.
Indovision’s communications slogan is “Bukan yang lain”, which means “No other”, and its advertisements tend to take a light-hearted view on family moments. Several of the country’s competing pay TV brands are also part of the MNC Sky Vision family; TopTV was launched in 2007 as a more affordable service than Indovision. MNC Sky Vision is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
