We will be launching BrandZ™ Top 50 Most Valuable Japanese Brands this November, in Tokyo. This new ranking and report explores brands in one of the world’s largest and most dynamic economies.
BrandZ™ is the world’s largest brand equity database. It combines rigorously analysed market data from Bloomberg with extensive consumer insights from over 3.7 million consumers around the world, covering more than 166,000 different brands in over 50 markets.
Surveys are conducted directly with consumers to get their evaluations of the categories in which they actually shop. These evaluations, based on actual user experience, are reflected in the data.
The brand values calculated by BrandZ™ are based on Kantar’s brand equity framework and also include a forecast of whether the brand will rise in value in the near future. The methodology used is periodically revised and improved by repeatedly verifying the results against actual sales over a period of more than 20 years.
BrandZ™ rankings have been published for many countries including the US, Australia, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Mexico, Peru), the Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, the UK and Canada. From this year, BrandZ™ will publish a Japanese brand ranking too.
The following event will be held in November 2019 to mark the launch of the first ever BrandZ™ Top 50 Most Valuable Japanese Brands.
