Their mission is to help people achieve financial security and enable them to be socially and economically useful in their communities. In 2017, Legal and General launched a campaign to raise awareness of mental health in the workplace entitled “Not a Red Card Offence”, which used sports stars to compare sporting performance with performance in the workplace. The campaign, timed to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week, encourages a more open discussion of mental health, given its effect on workplace absenteeism.
