A large telecommunications and media company, Rogers was founded in 1960 by legendary businessman Ted Rogers. The brand has 10.8 million wireless customers, most of any company in the country and is estimated to reach, in one form or another, 98 percent of all Canadians. Needless to say, this is an impressive feat in the second largest country in the world. In its communications, Rogers is very pro-Canadian but also puts its money where its mouth is, investing $679 million in Canadian content in 2018 alone. In an interesting side note, the brand’s parent company also has an ownership stake in the country’s only National Basketball Association team, this year’s champion Toronto Raptors.
