TNT is an international courier company, and a subsidiary of FedEx. In recent months, it has launched a new four-times-a-week service between Sydney and Singapore to cater for increased demand, particularly for heavyweight shipments. The move is expected to benefit the retail, healthcare and technology sectors. TNT is also part of what will be the largest parcel facility and delivery centre in the southern hemisphere, in Ipswich, Queensland; it is being developed primarily by the Goodman Group and Australia Post, with other logistics brands, including DB Schenker and Northline also committed to the estate. FedEx has agreed to acquire Manton Air-Sea, a provider of logistics services, including freight forwarding and customs brokerage solutions, through regional gateways and relationships with multiple air carriers. Manton has specific expertise in the healthcare and automotive markets.
