Van Cleef & Arpels is a luxury watch and jewelry brand, bought by Swiss group Richemont in 1999. Its first international store was opened in Palm Beach in 1940 and it now has more than 100 branches worldwide. The brand has long been a celebrity favorite, with Marlene Dietrich, Grace Kelly and Maria Callas among the fans of its designs. Van Cleef & Arpels is also renowned for its patented Mystery Set technique, an innovative way of setting precious stones so that they appear to be floating as no prongs are visible. The brand’s four-leaf-clover emblem comes from the Alhambra collection, launched in 1968. Through his dual role as CEO and Artistic Director, Nicolas Bos has long supported craftsmanship and is committed to preserving traditional techniques while integrating new technologies into the brand’s workshops. This year, the brand’s collection will be enriched with a new watch, expected to be presented during Paris Fashion Week, and another new product will also be unveiled during a major heritage exhibition at the Royal Palace in Milan.
